PTPTN Loan

Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) or National Higher Education Fund Corporation offers study loan to Malaysian students who are studying at local institution of higher learning.

Followings are the criterias for the PTPTN study loan application:

  • students must have enrolled as full time students at INTI International College Penang.
  • must have at least 3 credits in SPM and currently are not receiving any scholarships or financial aids from other establishments or institutions
  • the duration of studies at the point of application should not be less than one year; not counting short semesters
  • must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above to be able to continue receiving the loan

The maximum loan amount is RM8,000 per year for Diploma.
The maximum loan amount is RM16,000 per year for Degree (Art).
The maximum loan amount is RM16,500 per year for Degree (Science).

An interest rate of 3% is imposed to the total loan amount by PTPTN.

There are four submission dates per year and students are advised to check for the dates and more details from Academic Affairs Office.
